Rob Parker is a Moron

Updated: Apr 9, 2018

The Eagles victory in Super Bowl LII has Patriots haters out in full force. FS1’s Rob Parker, a well-known clown, is no exception.

After the Patriots loss to the Giants in 2012 Parker said, “Brady will never make it back to SB”, and now three Super Bowls later this amazing football mind is saying that Tom Brady is no longer the greatest of all time. Why? because Brady lost to Nick Foles and he now has more Super Bowl losses than Joe Montana.

I’ll address both of those points.

First of all, Tom Brady’s Super Bowl LII outing was statistically the greatest passing performance in Super Bowl history. With 505 yards, Brady beat his own record from last year’s game against Atlanta when he threw for 466. There have only been three Super Bowls with 400 or more yards passing and Brady is responsible for two. His performance was just about as perfect as you can get in a Super Bowl.

Unfortunately, the Patriots had a terrible day on defense. Rob Parker claims that Brady “lost to a backup quarterback,” which is a completely ridiculous statement. Was it Tom Brady out there playing defense? Honestly, he probably would have been better playing at corner than Jordan Richards, but that’s a story for another day. While Nick Foles was playing well against horrid competition, it was Tom Brady who was breaking Super Bowl records against an elite defense. There were many problems on Super Bowl Sunday for the Patriots, but Tom Brady certainly wasn’t one of them.

Since Rob Parker cares so much about winning percentage in big games--Tom Brady’s playoff winning percentage is .730, while Montana’s is only .696.

Rob Parker didn’t stop there. He decided to notch up his stupidity level with his claim that 4-0 in the Super Bowl is better than 5-3. Please take a moment to appreciate this unbelievable level of idiocy. Parker’s argument is that Montana is better because he lost earlier in the playoffs and made less Super Bowls than Tom Brady. Of course losing in the Super Bowl is not the ultimate goal and obviously, Brady would like to be 8-0, but getting to the title game is a massive accomplishment that shouldn’t be ignored. The fact is that Tom Brady has won eight conference title games, while Montana won only four. Furthermore, Parker ignores the fact that Tom Brady has far more playoff wins (27) than Montana’s 16, and guess what? Since Rob Parker cares so much about winning percentage in big games--Tom Brady’s playoff winning percentage is .730, while Montana’s is only .696.

The argument is over. The argument was over 4 years ago. Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback of all time and Rob Parker is still a moron. (Photo via wxyz.com)
